Common Questions
How do I access the VPS?
After signing up through QuantVPS, you'll receive remote desktop credentials. Connect from Windows, Mac, or most tablets using standard remote desktop software.
Does this include a BWT EdgeMax license?
No — the VPS provides the server and pre-installs EdgeMax and the indicator suite. You'll need an active BWT subscription to activate and use them, and that activation is tied to the VPS as its own machine (see below if you also run EdgeMax on a personal PC).
Can I still use EdgeMax on my personal computer too?
Not at the same time on a second machine. A BWT license activation is tied to one machine, and it can only move to a new machine once every 24 hours — so running EdgeMax on both your VPS and your personal PC simultaneously requires an additional license. If you only ever run one or the other, moving your existing activation over is free, just rate-limited to once per day.
Does this include market data?
No. Market data is a separate subscription (e.g. Kinetick or your broker's feed), same as running NinjaTrader locally.
Which tier is right for me?
Lite fits 1–2 charts and light use. Pro and Ultra add cores, RAM, and multi-monitor support for heavier chart loads or orderflow tools — useful whether you're manually watching more charts or running more automated strategies at once. Dedicated is for traders running 6+ charts or the most demanding setups, manual or automated.
How is billing and support handled?
QuantVPS handles server billing, provisioning, and hosting support. BWT handles EdgeMax and indicator licensing and support.
Does this work on a Mac?
Yes — that's one of the main reasons traders use it. The VPS runs full Windows, so NinjaTrader and EdgeMax run natively with no emulation needed.
